Europlanet webinar: The atmospheres of exoplanets

 The atmospheres of exoplanets
Over the last five years, we’ve gone from knowing only a handful of planets around other stars to having detected over 3,000. These exoplanets provide us with an opportunity to understand how planets and their atmospheres evolve. In our January webinar, Dr Joanna Barstow showed us how measurements of starlight filtered through a planet's atmosphere can be used to learn more about how planetary atmospheres vary under different conditions. If you missed it, you can catch up now on our YouTube Channel (and give us some feedback on our webinars via Mentimeter).

Our February webinar will be with guest Dr Emma Bramham of the University of Leeds, who will tell us about using the geology of Iceland to understand processes on Mars. Keep an eye on our website and social media for details.
